At Revision Health Unlimited, our team of physicians, dieticians, scientists and lifestyle specialists understand the complexity of weight loss. Our goal is to educate and motivate you to attain physical enlightenment by giving you strategies for short term and long term weight loss. Non-surgical strategies include the Reshape procedure, in-office diet and exercise coaching sessions and microbiota analysis.  Surgical options include referral to nationally renowned bariatric surgeons performing the most advanced procedures.

Shariar Sedghi, MD, AGAF

Dr. Sedghi currently serves as Associate Professor of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine, as well as Director of Gastrointestinal Research and Clinical Trial Center of Georgia. Sedghi graduated from Kings College and Westminster Medical School, University of London in 1986, yielding over 30 years of experience. He subsequently completed 8 years of post graduate training to include a residency in internal medicine from Mercer University (1991) and gastroenterology fellowship at Loyola School of Medicine (1994). During his training he was awarded the ACG/Schering Clinical Achievement Award (1991). He is board certified in gastroenterology and is a fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. He serves as an Associate Professor of medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine where he teaches both medical students and residents.

While he treats all aspects of gastroenterology, he has a particular interest in treating Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients which includes Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis. He is actively involved with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. He currently has an “IBD house” which minimizes unnecessary admissions and testing for patients. He also utilizes mid level providers in a team approach which allows for patients to be seen in office and avoid ER visits when possible. He places great emphasis on diet and holistic options in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and medicine in general.

Adam Levy, MD, FACG


Dr. Levy is originally from the gulf coast of Florida. In high school, he was accepted into the prestigious Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami. He was one of only 20 students selected for this joint college and medical school program. After graduation, he completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Subsequently, Dr. Levy completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. During his fellowship, Dr. Levy was fortunate to be mentored and trained by one of the world’s premier experts in gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Dr. Levy began practicing in Macon in 2010. He joined Gastroenterology Associates of Central Georgia, LLC in 2013. He has particular interests in high quality colon cancer screening as well as the diagnosis and treatment of GERD. In 2013, Dr. Levy was the first physician in central Georgia to perform radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus, an exciting new treatment for this complication of GERD, and radiation proctitis.
After encountering thousands of patients with obesity who have trouble losing or keeping off excess weight, Dr. Levy co-founded Revision Health Unlimited in 2016 with the goal of providing new and sustainable options for these patients. He is proud that Revision Health was the first group in Middle and North perform endoscopic placement of the Reshape Gastric Balloon.


Emanuele Attala

manu-sq-180Emanuele is a chef and a restaurateur operating for over twenty years in New York City.

In 1997, Emanuele came to New York from Italy, where he had worked as a chef and restaurateur for seven years. A year later, he opened his first enterprise, Malatesta, in the West Village of Manhattan. The restaurant is still operating with great success, and after that, he opened other dining places always in the center of the city.

At present, along with Malatesta, he owns Malaparte Restaurant, opened in 2011 in the West Village as well, and Spaghetti Incident, located in the Lower East Side.

His passion for food originated in his homeland thirty years ago, and he succeeded in bringing the most unique regional flavors of his native Rimini (Emilia-Romagna region), to the refined audience of New York.

The secret to his success is that for every restaurant he opened, not only he created every single recipes, (some of them authentically reproduced, others revised through his unique, professional taste), but he personally trained the kitchen staff in all of the establishments he founded.   

Emanuele still supervises the kitchen activities of all his restaurants and cooks for special catering and occasions. He constantly creates new recipes and actualize the ones of the most significant Italian region for culinary tradition.

Dr. Heather Rasmussen

Rasmussen, PhD, RD received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics, Master’s degree in Nutritional Biochemistry, and doctorate in Molecular Nutrition, all from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She completed her dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  Dr. Rasmussen currently teaches master’s level human metabolism courses and conducts research focusing on the metabolic interplay between dietary compounds, gut microbiota and metabolic disease risk factors. She has experience counseling patients with chronic disease, including cardiovascular disease and diabetes, as well as those with food allergies and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Rasmussen serves Revision Health Unlimited as an advisor to our dieting coaching and meal planning programs.

Dr. Ali Keshavarzian

Kesh-sq-180Ali Keshavarzian, MD has been one of the first investigators highlighting the importance of environmental factors such as circadian disruption including shift work, disruption of sleep, stress, and alcoholic drink on the disease course of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease as well as alcoholic liver disease, colon cancer, and neurological disease. Dr. Keshavarzian was one of the early investigators to study the role of intestinal microbiota in disease since 2001. His extensive experience serves as a backdrop for his advisory role for Revision Health Unlimited.

Dr. C. Daniel Smith

Smith-sq-180Dr. C. Daniel Smith is a surgeon in Atlanta, Georgia and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Mayo Clinic and Piedmont Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Minnesota Medical School and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Smith is one of 11 doctors at Mayo Clinic and one of 44 at Piedmont Hospital who specialize in Surgery.

Dr. Charles Procter

Dr. Charles ProcterDr. Charles Procter has been specializing in weight loss surgery since starting his practice in 2007. After completing his surgical training at the University of Kentucky and the Greenville (SC) Health System he spent his first five years of practice with Obesity Solutions in Gainesville, Georgia. In 2012, Dr. Procter moved his practice to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. His practice, Beltline Bariatric and Surgical Group, focuses on advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques as well as endoscopic options for surgical weight loss. Since 2012, Dr. Procter has converted much of his hernia practice to the DaVinci robotic platform. With this, patients enjoy reduced morbidity and quicker recovery with shorter hospital stays. He is a local trainer for the DaVinci robotic surgical system and has been a speaker for Intuitive Surgical, manufacturer of the DaVinci Surgical Robotic System, as well as Applied Medical. Patients from throughout the southeast have sought out Dr. Procter’s services in primary and revisional weight loss and hernia surgery. Beltline Bariatrics is one of the very few weight loss surgery practices in the southeast to offer safe and affordable outpatient laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in his adjoining state-of-the-art surgical center. His office is located near Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Newnan, Georgia. He also has expertise in the area of abdominal wall reconstruction. Over the last four years, Dr. Procter has worked diligently to establish the first tertiary referral center in the state of Georgia for complex abdominal hernia repair. In his spare time, Dr. Procter enjoys keeping busy with his wife and three boys.

Franco Lacosta

Franco LacostaFranco Lacosta (Puerto Rico) currently resides in New York. Multifaceted artist/creative director with 20 years of experience spanning across fashion, beauty, advertising, entertainment and the arts. Studied Art History, Design and Photography at Pratt Institute. Worked with the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Smith, Gianfranco Ferre and international publications such as Italian Vogue, American Elle and Italian Marie Claire. His career spans across many aspects of the industry, first as a model, artist, photographer, fashion designer and content creator for Model Latina and Tyra Bank’s Americas Next Top Model.
