Sandra Aamodt’s Book, Why Diets Make Us Fat: The Unintended Consequences of Our Obsession with Weight Loss, takes a long, hard look at the myriad of diets we pursue and the wear-and-tear those diets have on our bodies. In her TED talk, Aamodt outlines the importance of our biomes and how they are related to weight loss.

Aamodt suggests—based on much of the same research Revision Health Unlimited incorporates—that a person’s gut health or biome (also known as microbiome) heath is innately linked on one’s ability to gain or lose weight and their overall wellness.
